Build Something Like This

The Story

For a business community, the next conversation matters. A new connection may become a member, an event attendee, or someone worth checking in with again. We built CBG Connect for Charlotte Business Group to demonstrate how those relationships and the work around them could come together in one branded workspace.

The demo starts with a contact record: company information, conversation history, email permission, membership status, and renewal dates. A relationship pipeline moves contacts from a first introduction through a conversation and membership invitation to becoming a member. Follow-up tasks keep the next step close to the person it belongs to.

We also built a newsletter editor with audience selection, reusable images, and a review step before simulated scheduling. An event calendar supports event details and invitation drafts, with a manual handoff to Google Calendar. These workflows make the connection between community activity and communication easier to explore.

CBG Connect is an interactive prototype, built with sample contacts and browser-based storage. It demonstrates the proposed workflows; live email delivery, shared data, calendar sync, and social analytics integrations are not connected. The next phase is to confirm the setup with CBG and connect the services required for production. This story describes the work built, rather than measured business results.
